Responsibilities
- Managing the operational aspects of payroll processing on behalf of our customers, including salary disbursement, leave management and reporting requirements.
- Ensuring timely, compliant, and accurate processing of payroll that adheres to customer policies and legislative requirements.
- Providing customer support, managing enquiries and resolving issues as they arise.
- Conducting finance & HR-related analysis, developing reports and presenting insights to customers.
- Providing support and input into technical upgrades, development, testing and deployment of our payroll software.
- Assisting the wider payroll team and contributing to payroll-related business projects when required.
- Maintaining payroll system configuration to ensure compliance with policy and legislation.
What you’ll need to succeed
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with a demonstrated track record of success.
- Technical knowledge of Australian and/or New Zealand payroll legislation and regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with an ability to motivate, mentor, and delegate effectively.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to think creatively and outside the box.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with proficiency in collaborating, negotiating, and influencing others.
