Responsibilities

  • Managing the operational aspects of payroll processing on behalf of our customers, including salary disbursement, leave management and reporting requirements. 
  • Ensuring timely, compliant, and accurate processing of payroll that adheres to customer policies and legislative requirements. 
  • Providing customer support, managing enquiries and resolving issues as they arise. 
  • Conducting finance & HR-related analysis, developing reports and presenting insights to customers. 
  • Providing support and input into technical upgrades, development, testing and deployment of our payroll software. 
  • Assisting the wider payroll team and contributing to payroll-related business projects when required. 
  • Maintaining payroll system configuration to ensure compliance with policy and legislation. 

What you’ll need to succeed

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with a demonstrated track record of success. 
  • Technical knowledge of Australian and/or New Zealand payroll legislation and regulations. 
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with an ability to motivate, mentor, and delegate effectively. 
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to think creatively and outside the box. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with proficiency in collaborating, negotiating, and influencing others.
